Subject: Re: OK to share Lingus live fan tapes through archive.org?
Diana,
Thanks for helping us get set up on the archive....
While I'm not a musician in the band, I do work for their team, doing video and audio recording and promotions. I'm the one that submitted the request at the archive for the band. I can assure you that taping and trading is not only acceptable, but is encouraged by Lingus. ...please go ahead with it so we can start uploading shows. It is completely OK.... Thanks again.

Doug added his thumbs up:
Thanks so much helping to spread beautiful music. Kyle is a representative of Lingus and has full discretionary power concerning all promotion. I'll forward your reply message to Kyle and he can tell you any preferences concerning the "lossless-only options."
Thanks again Diana. What a wonderful way to share music and spread the word!

Policy Notes
From the Bands that Allow Taping website (http://btat.wagnerone.com/):
This is a great band from South Louisiana that blends blues, funk, and progressive hard rock into their high-energy shows. They will allow taping at almost every show, maybe even a board patch. Just ask Doug, their drummer, or Ross, their guitar player if you have any problems.
I have audio and video taped this band on several occaisions, and not only do they encourage audio taping and trading of their shows, they wished more people would do it!
